COOKI N’ IT UP is an extension of a Jae Michael produced show called “Dining-Out with Black Spotlight” which is seen on Cable Channel 56 by over 2 million viewers in New York City.  That show went so well that the duo decided to bring a new flavor to the air.

Jae Michael and D.J. Baker host COOKIN’ IT UP and features guest celebrities as well know artists who made a contribution to society: politician, writers, athletes etc, all types who have skills in the kitchen.

Many celebrities rave about their capacities as a chef and many claim that they are better cooks than some of the professionals featured on television today.   

COOKIN’ IT UP offers them an opportunity to prove it!  The pilot for this new segment will launch in January 2009.

 The show format will be somewhat similar to that of MTV Cribs.  The hosts will be welcomed into the celebrity’s home and that celebrity will step-by-step teach and prepare a meal for Jae Michael and DJ Baker.

While the celebrity continues to heat up the pots with their creative signature dishes, Jae and D.J will takes the audiencee beyond to kitchen to explore a few facets of the celebrity’s life and lifestyle, discussing a bit of their background, talent and their latest projects in an interview segment, and providing the most recent video clips of their work.

Cookin’ it UP is a marketing tool for the Celebrity’s to have another way to get their projects out to the public, and to welcome their fans into a little part of their life that they may not see or read about.

 Showcasing Jae Michael signature warmth and energy and D. J. Baker’s inquisitive sense of humor and their boundless curiosity for all aspects of life, the series engages viewers with a personal, hands-on, celebratory approach to life the Jae Michael and D.J.Baker way!
